Natalie & Jere

Ah, New Orleans!  We have done so many engagement sessions here in the last year that you would think we would be a bit tired of it by now.
Not a chance.  We love it more every time.

Natalie and Jere brought us back to the French Quarter and showed up in style!  How smokin’ hot are these two?!

Between her sequin dress and his bow tie, I was sure that I had died and gone to heaven when we walked into Anthropologie to meet them.

They drove all the way from Houston, Texas for their shoot and we feel so lucky to be the ones that they chose!

After romping around the Quarter a bit, we made our way to the Garden district.

They pulled out their cruiser bikes for a while…

…and then Jere got his board.  I’m pretty sure Jeromy was beyond stoked to take a few shots with the board.
I think he had been secretly waiting to do an engagement shoot with a skateboard.

In the end, (and we know how much photographers say this) it seriously was one of the coolest engagement sessions we have done yet.

Thanks so much, Jere and Natalie!  We hope to be at your wedding before long.  ;)

These photos made a happy mother cry! I feel blessed that these two met each other!

Canvas

We loved that one of our brides, René, chose a 20×20 canvas of this image out of ALL of her wedding photos.

Simple can be so stunning.

Making our life a living

If there is one thing that I love about working from home and having my family home with me, it’s being able to taking a moment… at any moment…

to talk
to run outside & play
to hug someone
to help
to join imaginations

to just be together

After my morning coffee, I just wanted to create something.  So I asked Maya if she would walk outside with me and let me take a few photos.

No need to brush our hair, put shoes on, or drive anywhere.

Creating in the midst of our every day life.

I love being able to create art any time I get the urge.

New York City

Are you such a perfectionist at some things (like, say… maybe… blog posts?) that you know you just do not have the time to do it “right” at the moment, so you put it off… and off… and off?

Yeah… I’m not like that either.

[wink]

P.S.  I was in NYC for 5 days in March.  Totally loved it.  Took a handful of photos.  That photo up there is one of them.
