Watching you sleep makes my heart explode

with love
with joy

with amazement.

You are not the son I imagined I would have.

You are so much smarter
so much more creative
and so much sweeter.

You are growing into a big boy and finding your own voice.
I can hardly believe that you will be 7 next month!

Learning boundaries, learning the way you like to do things, learning about life.
It isn’t always easy learning life’s lessons, but you are doing amazingly well.

I hope you know that you can come to me or Daddy any time for anything.
My ears, and more importantly, my heart is always open to you.

Alright, I know I say that I was really happy or excited to shoot a certain family/couple/client… I was SO stoked to shoot this family (and another couple that you will hopefully see on here soon)! Josh, Amber and their super duper sweet little girl Josie live in Nashville, Tennessee. Josh and Amber are photographers who I met through Lara Casey’s Making Things Happen 2010 intensive in February this year. It took place there in Nashville and they are two people (along with quite a few others) that I feel so blessed to have met. A handful of them have honestly become very close friends of mine. I will save all of that for another post that I will share very soon.

I know that God has placed Josh and Amber in our life. They have been a blessing to us and I was honored when they asked me to do a shoot with them while I was in town. They shot some of me while we were at it, too. I will share a couple of those and then you can head on over to their site to check out more of their work! In case you don’t hear from me again in the next few days, you guys all have an awesome weekend! We are off to celebrate Jeromy’s birthday today!!

Brittany & Cory’s First Glimpse

This is not about a “first look.” It is a tiny preview from their wedding a couple of weeks ago. I am literally smiling from ear to ear right now thinking about them and how in love they are. After a year of planning with them, I was so thrilled to finally be documenting their big day!

Jeromy took these digital shots while I was shooting film. When I get those back from the lab, we will have lots more to share!

Brittany’s sweet mother walked her down the aisle.

I literally teared up during their vows. Amazing couple with such love for each other.
