This is Camden. My little boy. He is six going on sixty. Wise beyond his years and quirkier than his peers. Yes, he has long hair… no, he is not a girl. He likes all things with wheels (mainly trains), art, and music. He does not like sports, super heroes or getting dirty. He is incredibly smart and has a genuine love for learning. Some things that may be no big deal for other children are difficult for Camden. He has pushed through (with encouragement) many things in his short life and overcame them. He truly inspires me and Jeromy. He is our oldest child and he amazes me so much.
When he was four-years-old he kept asking us to let him start piano lessons, so we did. A year and a half later, he is still playing daily. His first recital was Sunday and he did so well! For different reasons we weren’t sure if he would be able to follow through and go to the piano or perform, but he did it as if it were nothing new. As if he had done it a hundred times before.

Camden, Daddy and I are so incredibly proud of you! Your practicing, persistence, and confidence paid off. It always will in one way or another. You are going to have a life full of joy, love, art, and passion. I can see it in you and do what I can to nurture it. I already see you finding inspiration in everything around you. You inspire me. Throughout your life, continue doing things that you love. Don’t put off or discard dreams for fear that someone else may not approve. GO places. DO things. EXPERIENCE life.
I love you!
